Stability of quasicrystalline ultracold fermions to dipolar interactions

Paolo Molignini

Phys. Rev. Research 7, L032026 (2025) - Published 5 August, 2025

The dynamics of ultracold fermions in one-dimensional quasiperiodic optical lattices under dipolar interactions is investigated, revealing that long-range interactions stabilize a coexistence phase of localized and extended states and can induce disorder-free localization even in fully periodic setups.

Stochastic cloaking is the concealment of a region from diffusing particles governed by Langevin dynamics. The cloak is derived via a coordinate transformation that maps uniform diffusion to an annular layer of spatially varying diffusivity. Simulations reveal that cloaking performance depends on the stochastic interpretation, with the Itô convention achieving near-perfect cloaking.

Phys. Rev. Research 7, L032024 (2025) - Published 1 August, 2025

A longitudinal sensitivity of 16 fT/√Hz in a zero-field atomic magnetometer is demonstrated, overcoming its inherent dead zone using weak parametric modulation to amplify field response and suppress spin-exchange relaxation.

Nonreciprocal coupling triggers pinning-depinning transitions of wavefronts in bistable systems chains

Phys. Rev. Research 7, L032023 (2025) - Published 1 August, 2025

A nonlinear wave failure front velocity is caused by nonreciprocal coupling, which leads to the front connecting two states to no longer propagate. To perform experimental studies of nonlinear wave propagation between two nonreciprocally coupled equilibrium states, a liquid crystal valve with optical back-injection is used.
