If the early universe is inhomogeneous then atypical regions could develop primordial black holes if they are dense enough. In this paper, the authors argue that over-dense patches which do not reach this threshold may still leave signatures through unusual patterns of nucleosynthesis that could be detected in metal-poor stars.

The authors provide a comprehensive study, both analytical and numerical, of cosmic ray acceleration in relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence. Effects beyond the magnetostatic quasi-linear theory, such as resonance broadening due to large-scale turbulence modes, as well as a non-MHD effect, are incorporated.
