Abstract

Recent measurements of charmed-baryon semileptonic decays signal large tensions between experiment and theory, including SU(3)F analyses and lattice-quantum chromodynamics simulations. Possible sources of the discrepancy include the experimental normalization mode Ξc0→Ξ−π+. Using lattice-quantum chromodynamics inputs in an SU(3)F analysis including first-order symmetry breaking, we predict B(Ξc+→Σ0ℓ+νℓ)/B(Ξc+→Ξ0ℓ+νℓ)=(2.6±0.3)%, and B(Ξc+→Λℓ+νℓ)/B(Ξc+→Ξ0ℓ+νℓ)=(1.1±0.1)%, with ℓ+=(e+,μ+). These ratios provide normalization-independent tests and may help clarify the origin of the present tension.

  44. In general, there is an additional SU(3)F invariant: anf∋UnfTr(B†S)Jβ(Bc)β=Λ†(1115)Jβ(Bc)β, which parametrizes the effects of mixing between Λ(1115) and singlet Λ excitations, such as Λ(1710) [45]. However, such mixing would shift the mass of Λ(1115), and there is no evidence from the mass spectrum that this effect is required. We therefore set Unf=0.
