Abstract

We develop a technique to construct solutions of the Dirac equation employing the underlying group symmetries and the classical-quantum relationship within the Clifford algebra formalism. In particular, we construct a novel solution of the Dirac equation in the form of an electron vortex beam in a gravitational plane wave and show its relationship to the solution of the classical analog of the Dirac equation—rotor equation—for a particle in a gravitational wave. Our approach put forward a new paradigm in treating dynamical problems based on the underlying group symmetries.
