Electron-hole symmetry breaking of Dirac electrons has been evidenced as a well-resolved cyclotron resonance (CR) peak splitting at magnetic fields around 300-500 T in epitaxial monolayer graphene. The magnetic field was swept up to 560 T for the infrared CR by means of the electromagnetic flux compression technique in a 1000-T class megagauss generator. The authors argue that it is the CR mode repulsion, caused by the electron-electron correlation, which is responsible for the observed CR intensity transfer from the hole to the electron.
