Phys. Rev. Research 7, L022016 (2025) - Published 14 April, 2025

A nanomechanical device using a suspended quantum wire with strong spin-orbit interaction is proposed for detecting quantum phase transitions. The work explores the interplay between electron orbital degrees of freedom and bending elastic modes, providing a framework for detecting quantum critical points.

Nonlinear transport studies are performed to investigate the low-temperature behavior of a CF-2 Wigner solid surrounded by fractional quantum Hall liquid. The electric-field-temperature duality phenomenon of a Wigner solid was observed, which is interpreted within the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition model.

Phys. Rev. Research 7, L022008 (2025) - Published 8 April, 2025

The behavior of directed polymers in 1+1 dimensions under the influence of an external repulsive potential is explored. By mapping the system onto the evolution of free fermions in imaginary time, it is demonstrated that a continuous phase transition occurs when the potential becomes sufficiently strong, leading to the merging of empty regions in the dominant limit shape.
