Phys. Rev. Research 2, 043085 (2020) - Published 16 October, 2020

The authors report on surface conductivity in antiferromagnetic semiconductor CrSb2 by using electronic transport, angular resolved photoemission and first-principle calculations methods. Whereas both experiment and theory point to enhanced surface conduction similar to topological insulators, surface states are trivial since CrSb2 exhibits no band inversion.

Phys. Rev. Research 2, 042013(R) (2020) - Published 16 October, 2020

The authors propose to explore the electronic states of chemistry models using fermionic cold atoms trapped in an optical lattice as a simulator. They show that different schemes can be used to induce an effective repulsion among these simulated electrons, and numerically benchmark the effect of discretization for simple molecules.

Phys. Rev. Research 2, 043082 (2020) - Published 15 October, 2020

The authors investigate nonadiabatic proton-transfer dynamics in ionized hydrogen-bonded water clusters, describe its connection to hole-localization, and show that the proton transfer probability increases with the length of the hydrogen-bonded chain.

Nonlinear electric transport in odd-parity magnetic multipole systems: Application to Mn-based compounds

Hikaru Watanabe and Youichi Yanase

Phys. Rev. Research 2, 043081 (2020) - Published 15 October, 2020

The authors investigate the nonlinear electric transport phenomena in the parity-violating magnets, namely odd-parity magnetic multipole systems. The nonlinear responses in the presence/absence of the magnetic field arise from the spin-orbit-coupled electronic structure of locally-noncentrosymmetric crystals.
