A theoretical approach is developed to simulate the time-resolved diffraction imaging (TRDI) of the light-driven electron dynamics in arbitrary periodic solid-state systems. It is demonstrated that the diffraction signal encodes key information about both the positions and momenta of the moving electrons, highlighting the potential of the TRDI as a powerful tool for investigating ultrafast quantum dynamics and electron transfer phenomena in solids.
