Abstract

We propose the realization of a fractional Chern mosaic: a state characterized by a spatially varying topological order. This arises in trilayer graphene with small sequential twist angles, where a large supermoiré lattice emerges alongside conventional moiré lattices. We show that electron correlations drive local fractionalization on the moiré scale, while its pattern varies across the supermoiré scale.
