Physical Review Fluids is proud to announce the publication of its 500th paper entitled “On the rules for aquatic locomotion” by M. Saadat, F.E. Fish, A. Domel, V. Di Santo, G.V. Lauder, and H. Haj-Hariri. Due to the quality and interest of this paper it has been selected for highlighting with a Synopsis appearing in Physics.
Physical Review Fluids launched in January 2016 with the first papers published in May 2016. To date, almost 1200 papers have been submitted. In recognition of this latest achievement the 500th paper will be free to read for a six month period. We are pleased with the strong start of this journal and the interest it has generated among authors, referees, readers, and the fluids community. We look forward to many further milestones in the years ahead.
