The American Physical Society (APS) is excited to announce the appointment of John Kim, University of California, Los Angeles, and Gary Leal, University of California, Santa Barbara, as the first Editors of Physical Review Fluids, beginning January 1, 2016. John and Gary’s 18 years of leadership at Physics of Fluids and experience within the fluids community will help APS position Physical Review Fluids as a leading publication for fluids research.
For those of you currently preparing manuscripts for publication, Physical Review Fluids will officially open for submissions on January 12, 2016. Similar to other Physical Review journals, Physical Review Fluids will publish both regular articles and Rapid Communications.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by the APS booth or attended our Meet-the-Editors reception at the 68th Annual Division of Fluid Dynamics Meeting in Boston last month. There is a lot of enthusiasm for the launch of Physical Review Fluids, and we look forward to receiving your submissions soon.
