We are pleased to announce that Ananya Mondal assumed the position of Associate Editor at PRE, effective September 23, 2024. She will work jointly as Associate Editor of PRX Life. Ananya earned her Ph.D. in physics from the University of Houston, specializing in statistical and polymer physics. She went on to do postdoctoral research at Rice University’s Center for Theoretical Biological Physics, where she focused on machine learning-based predictions of large proteins. Her expertise includes biopolymers, active systems, molecular simulations, and structural biology. Ananya is also passionate about promoting women in physics through mentorship and outreach initiatives.
At PRE Ananya will work mostly on manuscripts in the area of biophysics and soft matter physics.
