We propose a two-field model in which the inflaton is coupled to a tunneling field . By choosing an appropriate coupling function, we realize a scenario in which the potential-energy difference between the false vacuum (FV) and the true vacuum (TV) reaches a maximum during inflation. Most bubbles nucleate around this time. After inflation ends, the potential energy of the original FV drops below that of the original TV, causing these bubbles to collapse and form primordial black holes (PBHs). We analyze the Coleman–de Luccia and Hawking–Moss tunneling processes and find that the resulting PBH mass function is sharply peaked. By tuning the model parameters, this scenario can produce PBHs constituting all cold dark matter, subsolar-mass PBHs, or supermassive PBHs without enhancing primordial curvature perturbations.
