We show that the regularized-big-bang-singularity model discussed in Phys. Rev. D , 023536 (2019), suffers from the same drawbacks of the Friedmann-Lema^{}tre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) universe, in that the -odd solution has the same divergences at the initial new time as the FLRW universe, while the -even solution is exempt from such divergences.
