Two-particle correlations in the process $p+p\to p+p+{\pi }^{+}+{\pi }^{+}+{\pi }^{-}+{\pi }^{-}$ at $23\frac{-\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}}{c}$ incident momentum are analyzed with a diffraction excitation model, and a Reggeized multiperipheral model that contains symmetrization and baryon exchange. The former provides a slightly better description of the correlation data. Some single-particle distribution model calculations are presented and discussed.
