APS is pleased to announce that Dr. Lijun Zhang of Jilin University (China) has been selected as an Associate Editor of Physical Review Materials. Dr. Zhang’s transition to this role was effective as of January 1, 2025.
Lijun Zhang is the Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professor and Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Jilin University. His research focuses on designing new semiconductors and enhancing material performance for diverse optoelectronic applications by developing integrated infrastructures combining high-throughput calculations and experiments, materials databases, and machine learning algorithms.
He is a recipient of the Chinese National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Computational Materials Science Award from the Chinese Materials Research Society, and has been recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher from 2022 to 2024.
The Physical Review Materials team is quite excited to have Dr. Zhang as associate editor, and extends a very warm welcome to him.
