ScV6Sn6 is a V-based kagome-lattice material similar to the AV3Sb5 (A = Cs, Rb, K) family. Unlike AV3Sb5, ScV6Sn6 exhibits a three-dimensional charge density wave (CDW) order and yet no superconductivity transition has been observed at low temperature. In this work, we confirm the √3×√3×3 CDW via NMR and detect NMR signatures of the √3×√3×2 short-range order. Above the CDW transition temperature TCDW = 88 K, full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the NMR spectra reveals sensitivity to short-range order. Below TCDW, the NMR spectra corresponding to [m = -7/2 ↔︎ -5/2] satellite transition of V split into two peaks, with an intensity ratio of 2:1. Detailed analyses show that a √3×√3×3 charge density wave order in ScV6Sn6 is consistent with our experimental results.
