Abstract

We observed an anomalous bending and transmission at the Bragg condition by crystal stacking fault. Two macroscopic and sharp deflections were observed in the proximity of the interface of stacking faults inside a diamond crystal due to the x-ray translation effect. Anomalous high transmissivity through the crystal was observed due to the x-ray translation toward the interface and due to some possible topological effect. The Berry phase for translated x-rays enables us to identify the type of stacking faults existing in the crystal by the angular dependence of the amount of x-ray translation.
