    Abstract

There is a growing body of evidence highlighting that multinucleon transfer (MNT) reactions offer a unique advantage in synthesizing neutron-rich nuclei within the N=126 region. However, forecasting the yields of products for specific projectile and target combinations, as well as their corresponding detection areas, remains theoretically challenging. This research aims to investigate the impact of different incident energies and projectile-target combinations on the yields of the MNT process in the terra incognita region of nuclei around N=126 based on the improved CLIM-H model. We systematically test the current model against well-measured MNT reactions, including Xe136+Bi209, Xe136+U238, and Xe136+Pt198. The production of nuclei with N=126 in these reactions is specifically studied and compared. Additionally, the use of heavy radioactive isotopes as projectiles in MNT reactions is explored. Findings indicate that for the unknown nuclei Ir126203, Os126202, Re126201, W126200, and Ta126199, the total cross sections in Pb210+Pt198 are significantly higher compared to other reactions. The suitable angular distribution for detecting the above isotopes is also presented.
