Abstract

The problem of the two-body nature of the mechanism in multinucleon transfer (MNT) process is very important, especially when it comes to the production of unknown isotopes. In this work, we conduct a comprehensive study on the correlations of multiple physical quantities in the MNT reaction U238 + U238: colliding energy, kinetic energies of emitting fragments, impact parameter, proton/neutron transfer number, and scattering angle. Based on our discovered correlation behaviors, the emission properties of the U244 fragment are emphasized, which would contribute significantly to the production of the actinide nuclei near shell closure N=152.
