Abstract
A microscopic energy term is introduced into the -decay energy correlation formula and further extended to half-life predictions, substantially improving the predictive accuracy of both quantities, particularly in regions near nuclear shell closures. For 96 reference-target pairs, the root-mean-square deviation (RMSD) of the predicted -decay energies decreases from 0.052 to 0.018 MeV upon inclusion of the correction. Building upon the Royer systematics, we develop an improved neighboring-nuclei -decay half-life law (the NR formula) by incorporating the microscopic energy term. For 170 even-even nuclei, the RMSD of predicted values decreases from 0.324 to 0.186, representing a 43% improvement over the original Royer formula.
