Abstract
Cluster structure of atomic nuclei, which plays a crucial role in the reaction mechanism, can be probed using breakup and transfer followed by breakup processes. The reaction mechanism, including breakup and transfer breakup, involving the nucleus has been investigated by performing charged particle coincidence measurements of and fragment pairs originating from the decay of resonant states in the reaction at MeV . Breakup from various resonant states of above their respective -decay threshold have been investigated. Angular distributions were extracted and benchmarked with coupled-channels calculations. Angle integrated cross sections for breakup following inelastic excitation and neutron pickup are found to be of similar magnitude. Statistical model calculations for the compound nuclear evaporation along with inclusive and exclusive data suggest that cluster transfer and/or capture of are important in addition to breakup processes.
