    Abstract

This work reports on the study of the decay properties along the Db257 decay chain using the GABRIELA setup. The first observation of a high-K isomer in Db257 is presented. In addition, an unreported α-decay branch in Md249 has been evidenced, allowing constraints the differences in energy of the α-decaying levels in Md249, Lr253 and Db257. Finally, the combination of the observed fine structure α-decay from the high-spin state in Db257 with the first observation the internal decay in Lr253 requires a revision of the level and decay scheme. In particular, a change of parity for the high-spin state from 9/2+ to 9/2− in Db257 is suggested, and the implications of such a change are also discussed.
