Abstract
Measurements of fission rays emitted as a function of time since fission from the and reactions were carried out with the detectors array DANCE. A fission event was identified by registering a prompt fission neutron with the NEUANCE array placed inside DANCE and surrounding the target. All rays, fission or background, following the fission events were recorded. Some of the background events were removed during the data reduction by applying multiplicity and total -ray energy cuts. A method for estimating the accidental -ray background was applied to clean the data from the remaining background. Energy spectra of the fission rays were collected as a function of the time since fission occurred. The experimental results are compared with predictions of the CGMF code folded with GEANT4 simulations of the DANCE with NEUANCE detector response.
