Abstract
Knowing that stable Zr isotopes near the double-magic nucleus remain spherical, we construct a dispersive optical potential to describe nucleon scattering on zirconium isotopes by introducing linear dependence on mass number into selected geometric parameters of the optical potential for . Nonlocality of the real potential and isotopic shell gaps are also considered. Excellent agreement with measurements is shown for nucleon-nucleus elastic scattering data of the zirconium isotopes and also of the natural zirconium.
