    Abstract

The excited states in Ga67 were investigated using the in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic technique. The investigation was conducted through the Cr52(O18, 1p2n) fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 72.5 MeV. The deexciting γ rays from the excited states of the residual nuclei were detected in coincidence mode with 14 Compton-suppressed HPGe clover detectors of the Indian National Gamma Array stationed at the Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi. The spins and parities of the several states were determined using the coincidence angular anisotropy and polarization measurements of the γ transitions depopulating the corresponding excited states. The crossing phenomenon observed in the rotational-like band structure is presented, and the necessary interpretation is made following the results obtained from the calculations carried out within the framework of the cranking model as well as the particle plus triaxial rotor model.
