We investigate how superconductivity in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 nanowires responds to uniaxial stress. Nanowires written by conductive atomic force microscopy show non-hysteretic, piezoelectric-like responses that preserve their superconducting properties under moderate stress. Larger stresses, however, trigger abrupt changes in the superconducting critical current. The directional anisotropy and threshold behavior of this response suggest a stress-induced rearrangement of ferroelastic domain walls relative to the conducting channel. Our results point to a close spatial association between ferroelastic domain walls and conducting channels in this system, and establish uniaxial stress as a tool for probing the interplay between ferroelastic structure and superconductivity at oxide interfaces.
