Abstract
We experimentally investigate the influence of Coulomb interactions on current noise in a Fabry-Pérot cavity formed by two series-coupled quantum point contacts and a pair of side gates. By varying the side-gate voltage to tune the interaction strength, we observe pronounced deviations from the noninteracting Fano factor of 1/4. These deviations manifest as a notable noise enhancement and the emergence of positive current correlations. Moreover, in the strong interaction regime, the Fano factor exhibits a rapid increase, indicating a significant enhancement of correlation effects. Our findings are consistent with the interpretation that the measured noise characteristics are primarily attributed to interaction-modified scattering processes within the cavity.
