Abstract
Dirac points close to the Fermi level can cause geometrical quantities, such as the Berry curvature and quantum metric, to diverge, thereby significantly influencing the transverse electronic responses of the system. Theoretical studies have demonstrated that Dirac points can emerge in the band structure of a carbon nanoscroll under the influence of a magnetic flux. Here, we demonstrate that their number can be tuned by adjusting the applied flux and the number of turns in the scroll. To characterize the topological properties of these Dirac points, we analyze the winding number through our diagrammatic technique, correlating it to the dominant accumulated phases along different hopping paths. Our approach provides a general framework that can be extended to investigate other nanomaterial systems with chiral symmetry.
