    Abstract

The manipulation of the spin degree of freedom in topological electronics has provided a critical physical foundation for innovation in the information field, while phonon chirality also exhibits the potential for transmitting and storing information. In this work, we realize regulable topological chiral phonons in a monolayer hexagonal lattice by introducing an external magnetic field. The magnetic field enables the manipulation of the chirality degree of freedom and localized directional transport of phonon states, and their specific performances are determined by the competition between the breaking of inversion symmetry and time-reversal symmetry. Using the nonequilibrium Green's function method, we intuitively demonstrate the transport of topological chiral phonons. For the system with the constraint of inversion symmetry, the edge transport of chiral modes exhibits reciprocity, whereas the symmetry-broken system manifests asymmetric transport with unilateral strong localization. Our work is expected to provide pathways for information transmission and manipulation and offers potential strategies for the design of low-dissipation chiral phonon devices.
