    Abstract

A controlled and reversible transition between two topological states is a highly desirable feature in any spintronic system. Combining external magnetic field and hybrid magnetic anisotropy, we show in micromagnetism simulation a controlled transition between different kπ-skyrmion states. With an oscillating magnetic field, we further achieve a transition from an initial state to the desired final state. We hence propose a skyrmion-based multibit storage that can be controlled by microwave.
