Abstract
We investigate Majorana edge-mode distributions and nonlocal transport in a minimal phenomenological model of coupled Kitaev chains with prescribed Fibonacci modulation. The model is not intended as a self-consistent description of a quasiperiodic superconductor; rather, it provides a controlled setting for comparing an integer topological index with local and nonlocal conductances. Our central result is that the sector contains distinct phases that cannot be distinguished by the topological index alone. Although these phases have the same integer invariant, they have different Majorana edge-mode distributions, which are resolved by nonlocal differential conductance. We also identify a topological phase transition induced by Fibonacci quasiperiodicity in this minimal coupled-chain setting.
