Abstract
A system of three-state orientable molecules on a triangular lattice is investigated. The molecules orientate parallel to one of the lattice axes. Nearest neighbors interact by a potential that depends on the orientation of the molecules relative to each other and relative to the orientation of the connecting bond. The statistical mechanics of the system are investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. The effect of the bond dependence is discussed in detail.
