Abstract
Antichiral edge states, proposed as protected copropagating modes in the modified Haldane model, have since been studied in diverse systems. Through numerical calculation, we reveal that such antichiral edge states are unstable to disorder: they exhibit a shorter localization length than the bulk states. For specific disorders, the spatial bond current plot clearly depicts scattering, further demonstrating the fragility of such states. The results offer fresh perspectives on antichiral edge states in broader electronic and classical wave systems.
