Abstract
CeAlGe, a noncentrosymmetric tetragonal type-II Weyl semimetal, exhibits unique topological and magnetic properties, making it an excellent candidate for exploring novel magnetotransport phenomena. In this paper, we investigate the planar Hall effect (PHE) in single-crystalline CeAlGe, focusing on its intrinsic anisotropic features. We identify distinct angular singularities in the PHE, which correlate with longitudinal magnetoresistance. The angular singularities observed in both longitudinal and transverse resistivities in the planar geometry share a common origin associated with the noncollinear metamagnetic spin-canted regime.
