Josephson quantum interference has hitherto been tethered to magnetic fields. Moreover, the Josephson diode effect (JDE) is often deemed anomalous and tied to broken symmetries in exotic phases. In planar Josephson junctions made with and bilayer graphene, we show that the JDE is a natural extension of the Josephson effect achievable through a universal mechanism. We replace magnetic fields with current-induced superfluid momentum generated in high-kinetic-inductance superconducting leads. This enables all-electric quantum interference and provides a magnetic-free, phase-sensitive probe for novel materials with unconventional superconductivity.
