Abstract
A doublet-band structure consisting of two bands connected by multiple interband transitions was identified in , with an average energy difference of only 36 keV between the two bands. It represents the most degenerate doublet-band structure observed so far in nuclear systems. The experimental fingerprints and theoretical calculations indicate that the doublet-band structure arises from chiral symmetry breaking. This result provides the first example in which a pure high- particle-hole configuration and triaxial rotational behavior emerge simultaneously, giving rise to exceptionally strong chiral degeneracy.
