Gamow-Teller strength distributions for ββ-decaying nuclei within continuum quasiparticle random-phase approximation

Abstract

An isospin-self-consistent pn-continuum-QRPA approach is formulated and applied to describe the Gamow-Teller strength distributions for ββ-decaying open-shell nuclei. Calculation results obtained for the pairs of nuclei Ge76-Se, Mo100-Ru, Cd116-Sn, and Te130-Xe are compared with available experimental data.

Discontinuation of Brief Reports in Physical Review C

Starting July 1, 2015, Physical Review C (PRC) is discontinuing its Brief Reports section. Beginning on April 1, 2015, PRC will consider new submissions to the Brief Reports section as short regular articles.

APS and CERN Sign Open Access Agreement for SCOAP3

APS and CERN, the host organization of SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics), have signed an agreement to make the high-energy physics (HEP) articles published in three leading APS journals open access beginning January 1, 2018. This agreement acts to support the publishing of open access content for wider benefit of the HEP community.
