Determination of Re181 and Os181 atomic masses from the Re185,8He)181Re reaction

Abstract

The atomic mass excesses of Re181 and Os181 were determined to be -46.519±0.016 and -43.49±0.20 MeV from the measured Q value of -26.480±0.014 MeV for the Re185,8He)181Re(g.s.) reaction and the known beta-decay Q value. The results were compared with some predicted values.
