Direct determination of cobalt site preferences in Nd2Fe14B at infinite dilution

Abstract

Using a Mössbauer source technique we have been able to make the first direct determination of the distribution of Co in Nd2Fe14B at very low concentration. Co avoids the j2 site, but occupies the remaining five at random.
