Gordon Drake Retires as Lead Editor of PRA

After almost thirteen years at the helm of Physical Review A, Gordon Drake of the University of Windsor is retiring from his position as Lead Editor of PRA. Following a brief period as an Associate Editor, Gordon became the Lead Editor in February 2006. Over this time, he has handled more than 5000 manuscripts, in addition to promoting the journal and providing overall leadership. His tenure, during which the journal continued to grow, saw important developments such as the introduction of Editors Suggestions to highlight a number of outstanding papers, and the addition of quantum information to PRA’s formal statement of coverage. Gordon will serve as a Consulting Editor for a transition period of a few months. We are very grateful to Gordon for his dedication and service to the journal.
