Abstract
We present a theoretical study on the strong-field ionization dynamics of nitrogen molecules driven by two-color circularly polarized (TCP) laser fields. The photoelectron momentum distributions (PMDs) exhibit a significant dependence on the molecular alignment angle and field ellipticity. Notably, these PMDs exhibit temporal triple-slit interference, with the photoelectron tunneling time governing the interference pattern, which displays an asymmetric shift. Employing the molecular quantum trajectory Monte Carlo model, we trace photoelectron trajectories to reveal that the Coulomb potential induces pronounced asymmetry in the PMDs as well as accounts for the localized enhancement and suppression of photoelectron yields. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the temporal intracycle interference patterns can be effectively modulated by tuning the laser ellipticity. This work provides insights into the characteristic structures of diatomic molecular PMDs in TCP fields and suggests a possible framework for the coherent control of electron dynamics via molecular alignment and laser ellipticity.
