Abstract
We point out that the Hamiltonian for the periodically pulsed harmonic oscillator considered by Hogg and Huberman [Phys. Rev. A 28, 22 (1983)] preserves ordinary coherent states under time evolution. The expectation values of x and p then follow the classical motion in phase space.
