Abstract
We study theoretically the synchronization of two arrays of coupled lasers with complex mode dispersion, separated by a spectrally detuned barrier in one- and two-dimensional geometries. We demonstrate that when lasing at the Dirac point, the synchronization persists for an order of magnitude higher barriers than in the arrays with a usual parabolic dispersion or a purely dissipative coupling. We interpret this effect as the Klein tunneling of the laser coherence through the barrier. Our numerical findings are supported by an analysis of the delocalization of the linearized eigenmodes of the arrays, which enhances the synchronization.
