Abstract
High-order harmonic generation from solids involving deep-lying valence bands is numerically simulated based on the periodical potential by solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. By introducing ultraviolet pulses, a distinct resonant peak appears on the harmonic spectrum, which indicates the participation of the deep-lying valence band in harmonic emission. Considering the non-negligible contribution of the deep-lying valence band, the resonance-assisted multiphoton injection (RAMI) mechanism is established. Moreover, we evaluate the interference of harmonics originating from different valence bands.
