    Abstract

An attempt has been made to determine the shape of the U238 photo-fission cross section up to a gammaray energy of 22 Mev by an analysis of the excitation function obtained by varying the peak energy of the bremsstrahlung from a 22-Mev betatron. A resonance for the photo-fission process is indicated in the region of 15 Mev.
