Angular distribution of neutrons emitted in (11Li,9Li) breakup reactions

The angular distribution of neutrons emitted in (11Li,9Li) breakup reactions is calculated directly from one of the reaction mechanisms, viz. Coulomb dissociation. The shape of the calculated distribution agrees quite accurately with recently measured neutron data. This provides a test of the calculated dipole strength in Li11 at low excitations.
