#### Abstract

Properties of states in ${}_{}{}^{243}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$, ${}_{}{}^{245}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$, ${}_{}{}^{247}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$, and ${}_{}{}^{249}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$ were determined by ($d,p$) and ($d,t$) reactions on targets of ${}_{}{}^{244}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$, ${}_{}{}^{246}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$, and ${}_{}{}^{248}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cm}$. Assignments of one-quasiparticle states are made. Single-particle level schemes are extracted from the data by use of a pairing calculation. The extracted single-particle level schemes are compared with single-particle calculations, which include ${\beta}_{4}$ and ${\beta}_{6}$ deformations. Equilibrium values of ${\beta}_{2}$, ${\beta}_{4}$, and ${\beta}_{6}$ are estimated for the odd-mass Cm isotopes.
