The effect of using different algorithms to simulate reaction-limited cluster-cluster aggregation is studied. Small differences in the scaling behavior are found, which when examined suggest the existence of an alternative, slow approach to scaling common to all the algorithms tested. The probable explanation in terms of the weighting assigned to multiple-contact configurations is explored.
