Calculations in Nuclear Evaporation Theory

Abstract

Methods are developed for analytic treatment of problems in nuclear evaporation theory using the level density formula exp{2[a(E*-ε)]12}. Several useful expansions are given, with their ranges of validity. Comparisons made with existing calculations indicate the validity of this approach.
